About me

Read about how my world has somehow shifted and how all at once, everything looks different from a Disney point of view.

Hello pals! My name is Cate and I’m a life-long Disney fan and Disneyland Paris annual passholder. I currently live in northern Italy, just a short flight away from Paris, so I’m very lucky to get to visit the parks quite often. Although Disneyland Paris is now my home park, I grew up visiting Walt Disney World during school breaks with my family. I was born in Venezuela where I lived most of my life and I’m fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian.

DISNEY BORN AND RAISED

I truly think that all the magical Disney experiences I had growing up shaped the person I am today. My family always kept the magic alive for me and my brother and used Disney movies as a way to reinforce the values they taught us. I’m also a massive Star Wars and Marvel fan. Those fantastic stories had a very big impact on my life and helped develop my curious side. Needless to say, I’m extremely happy that their presence in the parks is ever-growing.

A CATE AT DISNEY DAY

I’m a very outgoing and joyful person, so one of my favorite things to do when visiting Disney parks is making new friends. I love discussing movie theories and learning little-known facts about the parks with my fellow Disneyheads.

When it comes to attractions, I’m a thrill-seeker, so I mostly plan my days around roller coasters and other fast rides. I try to ride Tower of Terror and at least one of the Mountains on every visit. Pirates of the Caribbean, Pinocchio, Star Tours, Buzz Lightyear, and Ratatouille are also a must.

Character meets and Disney bounding are a very big part of my Disney experience. Making my own ears and planning my outfits makes me even more excited about my upcoming trips. I even hand-sewed my own dress once so I could wear it in the parks!

SHARING IS CARING

Ever since I created my Disney-focused Instagram account @cateatdisney, many of my dreams have come true. I went on some trips Han style. I did some character dining. I got picked to participate in some shows. I stayed at several Disney hotels. And I even pushed myself to do what I previously thought was impossible: run the Disneyland Paris Half Marathon!

On this blog, you will find tips on how to plan a trip (everything from where to eat to how to move around) so you can make the most out of your holidays. I hope you enjoy reading about my experiences in Paris and Orlando and find them useful and amusing. I’m eager to share all my favorite Disney moments with you.

Now, I’m here blinking in the starlight. Now, I’m here suddenly I see. Standing here, it’s all so clear. I’m where I’m meant to be.
